Master Programme in Fisheries Science (MPFS)

The Master Programme in Fisheries Science (MPFS) in the Master’s Program of Hasanuddin University aspires to become Indonesia’s premier integrated and sustainable Fisheries Science graduate study program by 2030. This program’s vision is derived from the vision of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Sciences (FMFS) as a Reference Center for the Development of Coastal and Marine Resource Management in 2030.

It is also in line with the vision of Hasanuddin University, Center of Excellence in the Development of Human, Science, Technology, Art, and Culture Based on the Indonesian Maritime Continent in 2030. 

To achieve the vision, therefore MPFS established the following missions:

  1. Conducting postgraduate education in integrated and sustainable fisheries science.
  2. Conducting research and community service, as well as the development of integrated and sustainable fisheries science.

Programme Objective

Based on the vision and mission of the Fisheries Science Study Program in the Master’s Program of Hasanuddin University that has been formulated, the objectives of the Fisheries Science Study Program in the Master’s Program of Hasanuddin University are set as follows:

  1. Producing master’s graduates with integrated and sustainable Fisheries Science insight.
  2. Producing and developing Fisheries Science studies to support integrated and sustainable fisheries development and management.
  3. Conducting an integrated and sustainable review of the results of Fisheries Science studies to benefit the fisheries community
